Transportation - Trafffic Engineer

Richland County Regional Planning Commission

The Richland County Regional Planning Commission is a transportation and land use planning organization that also serves as the Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) for Richland County, Ohio. The position will provide traffic engineering services in support of the work of the MPO and its participating jurisdictions.

Essential functions of this Job:

§ Perform traffic engineering analysis and studies
§ Prepare traffic signal warrants and analysis
§ Propose alterations and modifications of traffic control devices to improve traffic flow, safety, etc.
§ Fulfill traffic related reporting requirements of Federal and State agencies
§ Support staff for various studies of RCRPC and the MPO Desirable Qualifications for Employment § Traffic engineering design with a solid working knowledge of traffic analysis software programs.
§ Knowledge of the principles, methods and practices of transportation planning

Necessary Education
§Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related engineering field required; supplemented by technical experience in traffic engineering or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience

Starting Yearly Salary Range - $35,000 - $55,000 based on experience. Complete benefits– OPERS retirement, health/dental/vision insurance, vacation, sick leave, life insurance.
