Building Inspector I
Jessamine County Fiscal Court
Accepting applications Building Inspector I Full-time position
Responsibilities: • Reviews and approves plans and makes on-site inspections. • A successful candidate will take on code enforcement cases and office duties as necessary. • Any other duties required by the Jessamine County Judge/Executive or Planning and Zoning Director
Qualifications require: • Must possess and maintain a valid Kentucky driver’s license • Pass pre-employment physical exam, drug screen and criminal back-ground check • Understanding and/or experience with zoning regulations preferred. • Code Enforcement experience preferred or a desire to learn • General familiarity with MS4 stormwater and Floodplain regulations • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, etc. • All other duties as required by the Planning and Zoning Director
Education: High school diploma required, bachelor’s degree preferred, Certification as a Building Inspector Level I required
