Code Enforcement Officer

City of Sharonville

The City of Sharonville is seeking applicants for the full-time position of Code Enforcement Officer. Under the supervision of the Community Development Director, the position is responsible for inspection and enforcement of the City’s land use ordinance and restrictions, zoning ordinance, and property maintenance code. Performs construction site inspections and detention basin maintenance inspections to ensure compliance with approved plans, supervise seasonal interns and Co-Op’s and manage storm water outfall inspections for Illicit discharge detection.

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age, and have attained (1) a bachelor’s degree in planning, construction management, architecture, or a similar discipline (a bachelor’s degree in another discipline plus appropriate experience may be substituted), or (2) an associate degree in construction technology, planning, or similar discipline plus two years code enforcement or construction related experience, or (3) a high school diploma or equivalent plus three years of code enforcement or construction or building/zoning related experience. Applicant must also possess a valid driver’s license and must possess and maintain insurability as set forth by the City’s motor vehicle liability insurance requirements.
