Jessamine County Fiscal Court Accepting Applications for Full-Time position: JESSAMINE COUNTY PLANNING & ZONING ADMINISTRATOR QUALIFICATIONS: REQUIRED TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE • Graduation from an accredited high school or its equivalent (G.E.D., Home School, etc.) • Required to complete 20 hours of continuing education annually related to planning and zoning administration, planning practices and/or zoning regulations and laws. PREFERRED TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE • A four year college degree in the field of Urban or Regional Planning, engineering or other related field, • Four (4) years of responsible planning & zoning experience or any combination of training and experience that provides the required skills and abilities. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS • Must possess and maintain a valid Kentucky driver’s license. SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES • Knowledge of the principals, practices, and techniques of contemporary planning, zoning, and development, including land use, population density, and annexation. • Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws, administrative regulations, and ordinances related to planning & zoning. Must learn the applicable content of Kentucky Revised Statute 100, and the specific contents of the Zoning Ordinance of Jessamine County, the City of Wilmore Zoning Regulation, the Subdivision Regulations for the Joint Planning Commission, the Comprehensive Plan, and the Flood Damage Prevention Ordinance for Jessamine County. SCHEDULE/HOURS: 40 hours per week.
