The incumbent is responsible for reviewing and managing applications to the Planning Department to assure compliance with regulations, researching and compiling information on a variety of planning issues, providing technical assistance to the public and staff, serving as recording secretary to the Board of Zoning Appeals, and maintaining data bases. This position works closely with the public on a regular basis to provide customer service on zoning issues.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in geography, planning, architecture or a closely related field from an accredited college or university; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
