Pay Range: $51,000 - $76,166
The Village of Granville is accepting resumes for the position of Planning Director. Highly responsible position involves the exercise of initiative and independent judgment and the use of technical, professional, and administrative skills in a wide range of planning and zoning matters. Responsible for the administration and enforcement of the zoning ordinance and subdivision regulations. Conducts planning studies, makes planning recommendations, drafts proposed regulations, and implements land use policies in compliance with the comprehensive plan. Serves as the primary staff member to the Planning Commission and the Board of Zoning and Building Appeals. Some night meetings required. Frequent contact with Village Council, Board and Commission members, Village department heads, and the general public. Graduation from an accredited college or university with a degree in planning or a related field, and at least four years of experience in professional municipal planning in a supervisory role. Specific knowledge or experience in preserving and protecting the quality of life in historic communities preferred. Current salary range is $51,000 to $76,166, with actual salary to be dependent upon experience and qualifications. Excellent fringe benefit package.
