Akron Section Lunch & Learn

The Office Bistro

The Akron Section will resume a monthly lunch meeting at a new venue on Thursday, November 6, 2014 from noon to 1:15 pm. We will be meeting at The Office Bistro, 1846 Front St. in Cuyahoga Falls (near the Sheraton Suites).

Our guest presenter will be Marie Curry, of Western Reserve Legal Services, who is leading a local initiative to develop a Community Health Charter to promote a "Health in All Policies" program. The lead article in the October issue of Planning magazine discusses land use, transportation and health from a scenario planning perspective. APA also recently received a $3 million grant from the CDC for a Collaboration for Healthy Communities.

A reminder that the $5 lunch discount is for everyone who attends the lunch. Our lunch meetings are open to all.

After lunch, Fred Guerra, Cuyahoga Falls Planning Director, will lead a tour of the Portage Crossing retail development now well underway.
