City Planner/ Zoning Administrator/ Code Enforcement The City of Tipp City is accepting applications for a City Planner/Zoning Administrator/Code Enforcement position. This position assists the Economic Development Director in applying professional standards to current and long range city planning. Additional responsibilities include code enforcement inspections to identify violations of city ordinances. Inspections of exterior properties, general code violations on the premises which must be identified to the property owner verbally or in writing. Drafting of ordinances or plan amendments and technical support to the other city staff.
Qualifications include: (a) Bachelor’s Degree in Planning, Urban Design/Planning, Public administration or a closely related field. Two to four years of experience in planning, urban design, architecture or development review. Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform the work. (b) Knowledge of GIS, topographic information and ArcMap. (c) Must possess a valid State of Ohio Driver’s License. The successful applicant will possess the ability to deliver consistent customer service to a variety of groups and individuals in a friendly manner.
