Join AIA Cleveland and APA Cleveland for Parkitecture, a new, seasonally driven learning series in collaboration with Cleveland Metroparks, bringing architects, planners, and landscape architects together to explore the intersection of their disciplines through public park spaces. (CM and other credits are available!)
The inaugural session, Parkitecture: Winter, will take place at the Brecksville Reservation Nature Center and will explore the Parks Movement that led to the creation of public parks and feature the newly constructed Program Center, the historic WPA-era trailside museum, and a guided, place-based discussion led by a Cleveland Metroparks naturalist. The session concludes with a beloved winter tradition: hand-feeding the wild birds at the Nature Center.
Design, planning, and landscape architecture—experienced in place, in season, and in dialogue with nature.
