Hamilton County, OH currently has an opening for an Associate Planner.

In the Planning and Development we are responsible for ensuring safe, responsible development and redevelopment while building partnerships to create and implement visionary plans. In this role you will gather and analyzes data, prepare reports, and develop plan processes in assigned area of planning
Requirements (Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification):
Bachelor’s Degree in urban planning or related field.
Job Duties (Summary):
-Participates in long-range planning, special projects and/or moderately difficult development review tasks; assembles all data (e.g., researches zoning history, GIS data sets, inventories of demographic data, etc.) and conducts routine analyses to prepare recommendations; prepares reports, GIS maps and graphics in area of specialization (e.g., comprehensive and sub-area plans, land use, zoning, demographics, housing, environment, transportation, infrastructure, etc.) to support planning and policy development.
-Assists the public in matters dealing with planning, zoning and demographics; develops and utilizes applications to improve public involvement, promote collaboration and build consensus, meeting logistics and organization.
-Contribute a broad range of planning skills and innovative ideas to engage communities, foster relationships, and work with stakeholders. Communicates effectively and professionally and maintains working relationships with others in carrying out job functions. Works with community organizations and provides staffing services as needed.
-Creates and writes staff reports on planning projects, proposals, and reports. Makes presentations to elected and appointed boards for planning projects or development review cases.
