The City of New Carlisle has recently approved multiple residential developments with the potential of another in the coming months. As a result, New Carlisle will be experiencing significant growth over the coming years that will require the expertise of a city planning professional.
The City of New Carlisle is hiring a Planning Director that manages, coordinates, and directs the city’s major planning efforts, from current planning to long-range projects; organizes, integrates, and administers the department’s operations and service delivery; supervises code enforcement staff; serves as secretary to several planning and zoning boards; responsible for all aspects of economic development; serves as the City’s Floodplain Administrator; responsible for all GIS operations of the city; research and identification of grant opportunities to advance community revitalization initiatives; interact regularly with the Clark County Community Development Department to secure state and federal grant programs such as CHIP (Community Housing Impact and Preservation program); performs related work as assigned.

Currently the city pays approximately 90% of the employee health care premium and 55% of the annual medical deductible into an HSA account.

The hiring range for this position is $55,000 to $75,000 per year dependent upon experience and qualifications.
