Transportation Program Manager
TMACOG
Pay Range: $70,000-$95,000
TMACOG is seeking a visionary individual to oversee our reorganized Transportation Planning division and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of transportation in our region. This manager of transportation planning activities will report directly to the Director of Transportation. This is not your average desk job! As a Program Manager, you will be at the forefront of innovation, collaborating with a talented team and stakeholders to develop and implement transportation solutions. Key Responsibilities:
• Team Management: Manage and mentor a team of planners focused on multiple modes of transportation, including freight, rail, active, public transit and advanced air mobility.
• Project Management: Oversee the planning, design, and creation of transportation plans.
• Public Involvement: Lead public involvement processes, including public meetings, workshops, and online engagement to gather input and build consensus. We are looking for a candidate who possesses:
• Strong organizational and time management skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
• A strong understanding of urban planning principles, methodologies, and best practices, preferably as it relates to all modes of transportation.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in urban or regional planning or a related field.
• A bachelor’s degree with extensive experience in this field. A master’s degree in urban planning, public administration, or a similar field is strongly desired.
